It’s hard to believe how a negative can become a positive. But the moment that I consider the pivotal key that changed my life was when I found out that I had cancer 12 years ago. Well, not at that very moment as I actually thought I was going to die. It was after I left the doctor’s office, and knowing my chances for survival were good, I took a real hard look at my life.
Whether it’s a sniffling cold or life threatening, I’m convinced that all diseases are unconsciously caused by our own self. It’s like having a red alert button warning us that we are not living our life to our fullest.
So, while sitting in my pickup, watching the first snowflakes of winter, I evaluated my career, relationships and spirituality. Right then and there, I decided to change my highly stressful job and to create my dream work, which I am happily doing today. From that moment on my job description was “The leading supplier of American Indian pictures to the who’s who in publishing”. Here is where I could bring the positive aspects of tribal communities through photography to the educational field worldwide. I also wrote a list of “100 things to do before I die”, which for every action that I complete I add another. I can actually say today that I can look death in the eye and not regret anything in my life. If death or an illness came to me again then I would be ready to go as I have given my very best efforts to successfully have lived what I would call an enriching active life.
Greetings: Just wanted to see if you happen to have any pic's of either adult or young bison. I just love seeing bison out "on the range" and would love a shot of some of them grazing. Let me know your thoughts on this. Thank you!
