Last week I had the priveledge to photograph three Native American teenagers in contemporary dress doing stuff like hanging out, driving, at a computer, just basic everyday teenager things. This shoot was for a GED website and dvd for McGraw-Hill. Of course it was on-spec, meaning I don't get paid until the photo researcher sees an image they would like to use. However, I did pay each model for an evening of their time. These kids had no experience modeling but were professionals all the way. They each brought a couple of extra changes of clothing and easily acted very naturally for the camera. Which every photographer appreciates, as shoots should not looked staged.
